Dublin Zoo
One of the most popular attractions in Ireland
Located within Europe’s largest city park, The Phoenix Park, is Irelands biggest family attraction, Dublin Zoo. First opened in 1831, Dublin Zoo has gone on to become a registered charity dedicated to conservation and education, as well as one of Ireland’s most popular attractions.
Dublin Zoo is home to over 400 species from around the world, with habitats carefully designed to reflect how they would live in the wild. The zoo keepers also give regular talks about the animals they care for, so it’s worth scheduling your trip around one of these!
While at the zoo, it’s also worth dropping by the family zoo to meet the cows, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits, and ducks, and stopping off at one of several restaurants for lunch!
There are many public transport options to connect you to the Zoo- or for the more intrepid visitors, our friendly reception team will be happy to mark out walking directions through Phoenix Park on the maps at reception.
