Roe & Co
An historical distillery restored
One of the newest distilleries on the ever-expanding whiskey production scene in Dublin, Roe & Co have reinstated what was once one of the premium whiskey distilleries in Dublin.
Back in the 17th Century, George Roe was famous for his high quality whiskey and was at one time the largest exporter of whiskey in Ireland. The distillery was forced to close in 1926 and the beautiful building, located in Dublin’s Liberties quarter, lay vacant for many years – only recently being revived, coinciding with the 21st Century’s “golden age” of whiskey production in Dublin.
Offering some of the most interactive whiskey tours available in the city centre and limiting tour numbers to small groups to ensure everyone gets the best from their day, Roe & Co offer a choice of tasting or mixology classes with their tours. It’s a great way to not only learn about the taste profile of their whiskey, but also to get some whiskey-cocktail ideas to take away with you for future use.
2020 also saw the completion of the onsite “Cocktail Village”: the perfect way to relax and enjoy some of the whiskey you’ll be so knowledgeable about by the end of your tour!
Almost directly opposite the Guinness Storehouse, Roe & Co offer discounts off combined tickets with Guinness tours.
