Phoenix Park
707 hectares of open parkland in the centre of Dublin
One of the largest areas of enclosed parkland in any capital city, the Phoenix Park is home to a variety of flora and fauna- as well as being the location of the President of Ireland’s residence and Dublin Zoo. The park is committed to being a hub of biodiversity: with a herd of wild fallow deer making their home in the park since 1660, providing a real spectacle and photo opportunity should you be lucky enough to encounter them!
Described as a park where “Dublin goes to breathe”, Phoenix Park is ideal for those looking to enjoy a verdant stroll or relax with a picnic: whilst also providing great scenery for a little more activity, for example running or playing sports (hurling, cricket and polo are all played in Phoenix Park).
Easily reached from the Drury Court Hotel on foot, by bus or using the LUAS (tram system): we shall be happy to advise on transport options at reception.
